General Wiki Appearance
customizing the theme	For those who know who aren't intimidated by the HTML and CSS garbledy-goo (yes, I made that up), spice up your page. Editing the CSS (cascading style sheets) are ONE way to make cool changes in your page.
scrolling banner	Grab your viewer' attention with a scrolling banner. Simple to edit/change the message.
eliminating tabs	The "Page", "Discussion", "History" and "Notify Me" are often undesirable for a classroom wiki.
changing the background	Follow these instructions to change your wiki page background color.

Navigation bar
taking control (widget removal and relinking)	Wikispaces will automatically create a widget for you that will add and link pages on your wiki. But you lose all control of what is listed, what order and the ability to NOT link a page. Let's take control of the navigation bar.
pictures	Upload pictures to your navigation bar

forcing space (returns and spaces)	A simple trick to trick the wikispaces text.

text wrapping an image	Too many times, you need to have the text wrap around a picture.
add a background or solid color background	Learn to add a background image (or solid color) background to a page
adding picture links to website	What a great way to link your students to lots of websites.
embed a Google Search engine	Embed a custom google search engine right on a page.

podcast (voice recording)	Record your voice (or your students) and post to your wiki
music playlist	Include a playlist of music on your page

google calendar	Making a google calendar allows you to update the google calendar and have it come through on your wiki
google document	Make a document in Google Docs and have it in your wiki. Any changes made to the Google Doc will be reflected in your wiki
